Code Name: Moment Real Name: Harley Mireault Age: Indeterminate (appears 16) Gender: Male Height: 5'10" Weight: 120 lbs. Skin: Light brown (French ancestry lightens the native tone) Eyes: Faded gold/bronze; pupils have a slight hourglass shape Hair: Short-cropped and dark brown, with streaks of faded gold Noteable features: A tattoo of a winged hourglass at the base of his spine; this is actually found on any body he's ever inhabited and is a way of identifying him Background: "Harley Mireault" is not a typical sixteen year old. In fact, he's not sixteen at all; he's the latest reincarnation of a very old mutant, one born in the Savage Land ages upon ages ago. He doesn't remember much of back then; while his memory for the present is picture-perfect, his memory for his previous incarnations -- all of which have been radically different, of both genders, and many nationalities over time -- isn't so wonderful. He is effectively immortal; once his latest host dies, he's immediately reincarnated somewhere on the planet. What he does know is that he is supposed to be protecting... something. He can't remember what and after a few thousand years it's too faded to probably ever come back. Easy-going by nature, Harley feels that whatever it is, if he's truly needed it will make itself apparent. Since the world has yet to be destroyed despite numerous attempts on it over the years, he figures he must be doing something right. His current incarnation is the son of a wealthy French resort landowner from Tahiti, and a native girl he was smitten with as a boy that was "bought" for him because he took a fancy to her. Thus Harley grew up as one might expect in that household: he spent a ton of time with his doting mother (who hated Harley's father) and none with his father, who was too busy having affairs with other women. Eventually one of those women killed him, and Harley (who was 13 at the time) inherited his father's business and fortune. Not really wanting to handle that, he signed everything over to his mother, Vaiana Mireault. Interestingly enough, she used her own keen intelligence to make the business more successful than ever; their resort, 'Paradiso', is one of the most popular on the island. His mutant powers he has kept secret from everyone he knows, including his mother. He has a reputation as a fast runner, with great reflexes. In truth he sometimes uses his power over time to give him a tiny edge. Because his mother wants him to someday own and run the resort, Harley has been instructed not necessarily in business, but in how to deal with people and get them to work together, something his mother could accomplish but his father never did. Although athletic, Harley is a bit of a television freak; he especially has a fondness for British sitcoms. Satellite TV is a wonderful thing. It was Harley's own idea to contact Xavier's academy. Something is gnawing at him... something he can't remember. But he knows the reputation of the school, not to mention his odd recall of some of the teachers involved there. It's his hope that by attending Xavier's, he might learn to better control the power he has... and unravel the mystery of his past, and what his true destiny is.
