From: Todd Harper To: sleet@gallatinriver.net Subject: An RPG cliche or two for you Hopefully this matches up to your standards. Enjoy. ^_^ I was randomly inspired replaying Chrono Trigger in FF Chronicles. Way To Go, Crono (Good Deed Temporal Devaluation Rule): If there is any earth-shattering, universe-threatening calamity that the heroes swear to defeat, and actually DO defeat for a happy ending, in the sequel this same victory will be the cause of another earth-shattering, reality-threatening calamity ten times greater than the first. "This wasn't here tomorrow, was it?" (Temporal Sidestep Rule) In any situation where time travel is concerned, an item can mysteriously exist across as many timelines as needed if inconsequential, but only in one timeline if it's absolutely VITAL that only one of them exists. Also, if a treasure is in one spot in two timelines, taking the future one first and the past one second doubles your inventory of it, instead of creating a space-time rift which swallows everything in a twenty mile radius.
